

Boykin Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Kim Owen, and step-daughter
Annette Pizzitola. His parents moved to Forney, Texas, when he was a young child, where he grew up. As a Forney High School Student, he took up photography as a hobby and became the unofficial school photographer and a free-lance photographer for some local businesses. This early start in his hobby became a lifetime interest. He was proud to have served with the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He had many talents, both in art, and in writing poetry. He was a gifted cabinet maker and creative builder. His business life experiences included employment with GMAC Finance Corporation, the Hooper-Holmes Bureau where he became a Branch Manager, self-employment in the construction business, and as a supervisor of the garden department at Home Depot. His survivors include his wife, Joy, sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Jim Smith, and the mother of his children, Barbara Louvier; sons Karl Taylor (Jeannette), Todd Taylor (Anna), and daughter Kerri Bontrager (Karl); grandchildren Chris Gardner (Sara), Cale Staton (Jennifer), Cody Gardner (Kaetlin), Lesley Taylor Ward (John), Hollie Bontrager Masterson (Jeremiah), Hilary Bontrager (fiancé Andrew Holt), Travis Taylor, Chad Owen (Amber), Callie Owen Brownlow (Robert); and 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by step-daughters Brenda DeLeon (Bill) and Gail Wendt (Joe), step-son Anthony Pizzitola; step-grandchildren Joe Wendt (fiancé Samantha Walker), Justin Wendt (Catherine), Sarah DeLeon, Mark Jeane, Patrick DeLeon, and Samantha Pizzitola, and 7 step great-grandchildren.
