He loved his family very much and will be forever missed. A celebration of Marty’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.

Dawn and family,
My heart aches for you all. I had the pleasure of working for Marty his last few years at COUNTRY. I could go on forever about the positive impact he made and the influential person he was. He truly was one of a kind and will be missed greatly. I think of him often and ask myself, what would Marty do? He always treated people with respect and encouraged all of us to do our best work and never missed a moment to tell us a story about his amazing family. I can’t imagine what you all are going through but please know, we are thinking of you all and mourning the loss of an amazing man.

I was terribly sad to hear the news about Marty. He was my Dad’s boss for a time and my Dad always spoke so highly of him. I got to know Marty when I started working for Country Financial in 1998. He provided me with the opportunity to have the career I have when he oversaw the Cotton States acquisition. He was such a kind and genuine person. I’m really sorry for your entire family.
