Rusty Johnson

Rusty Johnson, (Lloyd Russell Johnson Jr.) passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 in Terrell, Texas after a long battle with his health. Rusty was born on February 16, 1962 in Terrell, Texas to Lloyd Russell Johnson Sr. and Marilyn Wright Johnson. Rusty played high school football for the Terrell Tigers until he graduated in 1981. He then married Janet Atkins on November 12, 1982. Rusty had a love for sports whether it was playing baseball or watching sports on T.V. He had a special love for the Rangers. Rusty also enjoyed fixing things with tools. Rusty had many friends around Terrell and could rarely go anywhere without running into someone he knew. Rusty loved helping people and had a knack for even making complete strangers feel like a friend. Despite his health problems, Rusty always managed to keep an upbeat outlook on life. Rusty is preceded in death by his grandparents Jessie and Mary Johnson and Odell and Audie Wright; his father Lloyd Russell Johnson Sr.; and his son Jeremy Russell Johnson. Rusty is survived by his mother Marilyn Robinson and husband Wesley of Royse City; a son Jordan Johnson of Wills Point; brother Rod Johnson and wife Kristi of Terrell; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of friends who will miss him dearly. Funeral service for Rusty will be on Wednesday October 14, 2015 at 2:30 pm at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Chapel. The family will begin receiving friends and hour prior to service at 1:30.
