Vera Ruby Mobley
June 24, 1927 – June 5, 2019
Albert A Elliott and Nellie (Rush) Elliott were blessed with a baby fully charged with: passion, love, questions about this world, a determination most have not seen, and great physical and internal strength. This all happened on June 24, 1927.
Ruby was born in black land farming country near the dividing lines of Kaufman and Hunt counties. Ruby had a loving but strict upbringing. She loved being a farm girl. With her two sisters and five brothers. Well, she loved it until she became a teenager, so two weeks before graduation Ruby was off to the big city of Dallas.
Ruby searched, searched and searched for her perfect mate! That mate was Ralph Mobley on December 20, 1958. It was love everlasting from then until Ruby was reunited with Ralph Wednesday morning on June 5, 2019.
Ruby had a large family but only one of her sons survived her, Dewayne Mobley of St. Louis. Ruby cannot tell each of you her thoughts and remembrances, but you all lived them so you know them.
A treasure Ruby holds for you in heaven, her granddaughters, Lisa & Suzanne and the great support from your families who came to rescue Ruby and give her what she wanted, to be home in Texas for her final years with her family.
Ruby, June 24, 1927 to June 5, 2019 and now forever.
