A. Douglas Brooks, 89, of Texarkana, Texas passed away in a local hospital. He was born March 1, 1924 in Howard County AR. He was a member of Westlawn Missionary Baptist Church and U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Brooks of Texarkana, TX; son and daughter-in-law Richard and Brenda Brooks of Valley View, TX; three grandchildren Ross Brooks of Ft. Worth, TX., Phillip Brooks of Denton, TX. and Lesley Brooks of Dallas, TX; great granddaughter Savannah Brooks of Watauga, TX; one sister Thelma Beckham of Texarkana; one brother Orville Brooks of Texarkana plus several nieces and nephews.
Cremation arrangements are under direction of East Funeral Home-Moores Lane. No services are scheduled at this time.
