Anna Louise Bassett

She was born October 17, 1946, in Clarksville, Texas, to Thurman and Helen Quisenberry. Anna was a member and faithful servant of St. Edward’s Catholic Church. She graduated from Arkansas High School with her lifelong friends. She worked at Cooper Tire with 10 years of service. Anna then went back to college and earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting. She retired from NAF at Red River Army Depot.

Those who knew Anna, knew her warmth, sincerity, and generosity. She was gentle in her words and spirit, but fierce in her beliefs as a Christian. Anna grew up as a member of College Hill Methodist and Fairview Methodist Church before becoming a member of St. Edwards, where she would attend with her husband, Bill. Her faith was a pillar in her life, and she lived in such a way that all saw her light and kind spirit.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Bill Bassett, and her parents.

Anna is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Willie and Annette Bassett; daughter, Cathy Reeves; granddaughter Loren (Ethan) Porterfield; granddaughter Jordan (Casey) Trexler; granddaughter Cassidy (Prestion) Kennedy; grandson Hoyt (Danielle) Bassett; four great-grandchildren: Grace and Eli Porterfield; Brighton and Brooks Trexler; her dear friend, Sue Fleming; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life service will be 12 pm, Monday August 10, 2026 at East Memorial Chapel-Downtown with Rev. William Burmester officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown.

Family will receive friends from 11am to 12pm on Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.
