Bennie Carolyn Bruce

Bennie Carolyn Bruce was born on November 11, 1944, to Dora Pitchford Lee and Benny Lee, the first of two daughters born to them. Bennie was followed two years later by her sister, Mona Kay. Bennie Bruce passed from this life on September 1, 2025, following a lengthy illness.

She was born into a family of 17 cousins, of whom only 6 remain today. She was fortunate that even though they were separated by several miles, they enjoyed years of fun and freedom to get into all sorts of trouble with their parents. She loved playing the piano at Arabella Baptist Church in Texarkana until she married and moved to Louisiana. She had one daughter, Donna Elizabeth, who preceded her in death. She worked at several jobs during her life in Texarkana but enjoyed her time at the County Clerk's office the most.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Her husband, Bob Bruce, her daughter, Donna, her grandson, Timmy Clifton, and a friend Jack Bashaw.

There will be no memorial service, but interment will be at Crystal Hill Cemetery near Wickes, Arkansas, at a later date.
