Mr. Herrington was born April 8th, 1939 in Texarkana, Arkansas. He was a retired supervisor from Red River Army Depot where he gave many years of service. He was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran and member of Trinity Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking and upholstery.
He was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Courtney Jewell and Rachel Sherman.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years Patsy Howell Herrington whom he married on November 25th, 1958.
His children and their spouses; Sherry and Jimmy Sherman, Karen George, Darla and Brian Jewell and Brad and Terra Herrington.
Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, Crystal Leiva, Aaron George, Chris Sherman, Megan Sherman and Maddie Sherman, Chance Jewell, Mason Herrington, Tyler Herrington and Mark Herrington.
His 4 great grandchildren; Kyler Sherman, Hadlee Sherman, Addie Jenkins, Annabeth Jewell and 2 great great grandchildren Elijah Serrano and Kutter Kelly.
Mr. Herrington is also survived by 3 sisters; Naomi Shumake, Helen Beasley and Wanda Cox.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at East Funeral Home, 2807 Moores Ln, Texarkana, Texas.
Following the visitation the funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at East Funeral Home-Moores Lane Chapel with Rev. Wallace Edgar officiating.
