Betty Jewell McPherson

Betty Jewel McPherson, 85, of Texarkana, AR passed away August 29, 2016 in a local hospice facility. Mrs. McPherson was born August 9, 1931 in Texarkana, AR. She was retired from Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall McPherson.

Survivors include her son, Marshall Lee McPherson, Jr., of Texarkana, AR; daughters and sons-in-law, Lenora McPherson of Nash, TX, Diane and Bobby Stephens of Texarkana, AR and Pamela McPherson of Nash, TX; sister, Esther Cobb of Texarkana, AR; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Charles Wagner of Fouke, AR; brother, Henry Tibbit of Texarkana, AR; and grandchildren, Jeff McPherson and Dennis McPherson, both of Texarkana, AR. and one great-granddaughter.

Service will be 2 P.M. Thursday, September 1, 2016 with Brother James Ross officiating.

Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home – Moores Lane.

Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at East Funeral Home-Moores Lane
