I served under Bill's directorship at Linden United Methodist Church beginning in 1979 when there was a tragic vacancy at the organ bench; I served there until 2009. I had never played for anyone except in my living room before Bill said, "You gotta do it." No option allowed! I also was a part of Linden Lions Follies under Bill's direction. He fostered and taught me to use and enjoy music; that is a good blessing.

I know that there is some beautiful music going on right now in heaven with all the "Bowden Boys" finally together not to mention the "stories" and the jokes because we all know they could tell them! Uncle Billy will be missed by all that knew him. He was a very special man and I was proud to call him my uncle. Love to you all!
