

He is survived by his wife, Vickie Mulvany, two daughters and sons in laws, Diane and Tom Cooper of Ashdown, Arkansas and Connie and Gary Brown of Hot Springs, Arkansas, a stepdaughter, Christy and Dan Greathouse of Portales, New Mexico, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. One brother, Gary and Doris King of Conway, Arkansas, 9 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Mother, Father, and two brothers, Bob Mulvany and Dale Mulvany
Bill was raised in the Oak Cliff section of Dallas, Texas and after graduating from
W.H.Adamson in 1956 attended Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas.
After working at the US Post Office in Dallas he went to work as an adjuster with
Texas Consumer Finance Corporation and advanced as Manager within 11 months
and managed offices in Wichita Falls and Grand Prairie, Texas.
In 1963 he moved to Texarkana, Texas with Consolidated Credit Corporation with
the promise that he could move back to the Dallas area upon having an opening.
As Manager he earned the State’s highest proficiency award two of the three
years he managed the local office. He was promoted to Supervisor in Louisiana
and moved to Baton Rouge. In 1968 he moved back to Texarkana and opened
Texarkana Investment Corporation on Broad Street. Through the years he had
businesses in Mt Pleasant and Paris, Texas. In 1972 he purchased Parks Jewelers
on West Broad and he remained active in the business until his death. His biggest
enjoyment was coming to work everyday and meeting people.
Bill and his wife, Vickie, are active members of Sugar Hill United Methodist Church and held many different positions of leadership. He loved God, his Church, the members, his family, and many wonderful customers during his over 50 years in business.
Funeral services will be held at Sugar Hill United Methodist Church at 2pm on Friday, July 7, 2023 under the direction of East Funeral Home-Moores Lane. Entombment will be in Linden Cemetery, Linden, Texas.
Family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Thursday, July 6, 2023 at East Funeral Home-Moores Lane.
