He was preceded in death by a grandson, M. J. Parson.
Survivors include his daughter, Renee Patterson of Hope, AR; grandchildren, Maranda Parson and Christopher Parson both of Louisiana; great grandchildren, Amira Parson, Landon Gaspard and Harley Gaspard; sisters, Nevada Walls and Norra Green; and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
