Uncle Richard always was one of my favorites. He would come up and quietly tell a joke but wouldn't say it out loud. He would go around telling the joke to all of us one at a time. He was very bashful, which I loved about him. He was always so much fun. Loved him very much. Those who don't know, the Wise family called him Richard because my dad's name is also Charles. He was Charles Richard after Mom and Dad married. Somehow it got shortened to Richard along the way.
P.S. He hated being called Richard that is why he introduced himself to Aunt Doris as Charlie. Just a fun fact. R.I.P. UNCLE RICHARD! Thanks for the memories. 🙏

Carolyn Wise Sasser. Richard was my uncle and we had a great time together when we were younger. He was only about 10 months older than me. Our family was a very close knit family when we were growing up. Prayers for the family and remember Richard was a great guy🙏🏻RIP RICHARD

Charles Richard was a great Uncle, friend and close pal. I remember the childish things we did as kids driving our parents crazy. We were only months apart in age and were more like brother and sister. He will be greatly missed but know that he is at peace with our Lord and the other family members. RIP Charlie.
