I have so many find memories of Kirk producing many plays it St James Church. He was always so energetic but also had the patience patience of Job with this group of rambunctious teens and preteens. What a joy to watch him work with the youth who obviously loved and respected him tremendously. From Captain Noah to Angel ahead and many more such great joy was had by all. I only knew Mr Lohse through the theater department at Texas High but I was impressed by his love for Gabe.
I saw the twinkle in his eye and smile on his face when he watched Gabe perform. It touched me to see a man show such tenderness and genuine interest in his child.
Although his time was short on this earth he left a mark on those around him especially his family.

Dana, Jay and Gabe,
I am so very sorry to hear about Kirk. I really enjoyed living next door to you all and getting to partake in Kirk's yummy grilled grubbage and see snippets of the original Godzilla he presented at the downtown festival.
He was a gregarious, warm-hearted hilarious man who was full of love and inspiring to all of us. I know he loved you all immensely. May you feel his love with you everyday.

Dana, Jay and Gabe,

I am so sadden to hear of Kirk's passing. Less than two weeks ago, Kirk called me as he was concerned about the active shooter at our middle school in Noblesville, IN and he knew that my wife worked in the school system. That was Kirk - calling to make sure that my family was ok. I have had many interesting times with Kirk during his time at Vertical Alliance Group. He traveled to IN on three or four different occasions. He was a true professional working with our clients in filming their safety training but we had a lot of fun together. There was the time that we are driving to the airport and we were passing a truck load of piglets that were hanging their heads out of the side of the hauler. Kirk had to have a picture of these piglets so I was instructed to slow down so he could film them. He was truly a lover of animals and always called home every night he was on travel to check on his beloved dog. Another time, it was in January and we were having a small snow storm of about 8". Definitely, not Kirk's favorite weather. He got all bundled up and all we could see was his eyes as he walked very slowly through the parking lot. It was quite a sight! We always had many good laughs together during his trips to IN.

Your husband and your father was true professional and a friend of mine. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of reflection. I will miss Kirk but will always have great memories of the times that I got to share with him.

It has been a very long time since I've seen Kirk, but I have fond memories of sharing some good times during our childhood. Harry and Louise were friends of my parents, Paul and Helen Smith, and we had many visits together. I know that Louise and my mother were close many decades ago. May God keep all of you in His tender care during this time of loss and sorrow. I am confident that Kirk brought joy to so many, and he will be forever missed and loved.
Sincerely,
Paula Smith
