Not all that long ago we went to the Maytag Opry with Dolly. When we walked in, we created quite a stir. Mike, the owner/host announced to the audience “Dollie Williams here tonight.” She sang a song with the band ( or should I say she belted out a song with much stage presence) and it was a great evening.

She loved going to the local Opry and we joined her and Norma Jean along with Laverne many an evening over the years.

I am a dear friend of Shalena Reed. I was sad to hear of the passing of her Grandmother. Shalena has shared some of her special memories of her grandmother with me. I would like to HONOR -- CLAIRE MARIE WILLIAM'S LIFE WITH A DONATION TO-- EYLAU METHODIST CHURCH.--( I plan to mail it this week to the Methodist Church) ........ Shalena is a very loving caring Lady ... I know how much her grandmother meant to her and she has the same sparkling personality that I saw in the photos of her grandmother that was shared in her Obituary. Prayers to ALL of the family as you gather to together this Wed. to celebrate Mrs. Williams life. Diana Jones -- a Friend of Shalena Reed

There isn’t a person on Earth like her. She’s been my grandmother, friend, card buddy, pea shucking partner, coke date, great grandmother(memo), chocolate lover, entertainer, and God loving Angel. We’ve had the most special bond anyone can have in life. I’m blessed to carry on her words of wisdom and hope to love as she did every day. She taught me to look for the good in others, keep my girls and Tommy closest to my heart, and to have empathy for others. She lived everyday feeling blessed! I’m saddened to never hug her again, but I’m comforted by knowing she’s forever watching over me with the Lord above.

Forever grateful,
Jana Reed-Hicks

I would like to tell your family what a great & wonderful woman you were. You were the best Mother your children could have hoped for. You set the standard for all of them. You and I never saw eye to eye but I always knew you had your family, your children in the right place. You set the example of what to be. God Bless You Dolly. I was always uncomfortable with that but you earned it, you deserve it, you have my utmost respect. You were a Champion to your children. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your family for many years. You were always gracious to me. I love your family as you loved them. They are all special to me. Rest In Peace & know how much you were loved by all.
