Debbrae Capps

Debbrae Capps, 60, of Texarkana, AR left this life on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Capps was born on June 28, 1954 to the late Benny and Norma Wood. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Texarkana, AR. Mrs. Capps worked a number of years with nursing homes and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors included her husband, Paul Capps of Texarkana, AR; daughter and son-in-law Melody and Mario Garcia of Texarkana, AR; three grandchildren, Dylan, Ashley and Adrianna Brackeen all of Texarkana, AR. sister and brother-in-law, Sherri and Ken Boyd of Texarkana,TX,; brothers and sister-in-law, Chip and Christi Kemp of Texarkana, TX and Gene Wood of Texarkana, AR; brothers and sister-in-law, Jesse and Diwana Capps of Texarkana, AR and sister and brother-in-law, Joy and Wesley Belk of Genoa, AR, and a number of other relatives.

Debbrae fought a long hard battle of stage four colon cancer. During her fight she mentored others and encouraged everyone she met with her faith, knowledge and compassion. She was a true inspiration of how to live with grace. She did not lose her battle. She fought hard until Jesus said she didn't have to anymore.

Services will be at 10am Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at First United Methodist Church, Texarkana, AR with Rev. Bruce Bennett and Rev. Vida Williams officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at East Funeral Home-Downtown.
