Dorothy Burns, 83, of Texarkana, TX passed away June 1, 2011 in a local hospital. Mrs. Burns was born May 15, 1928 in New Boston, TX. She was a homemaker; member of St. James Episcopal Church; and St. James Alter Guild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tevis Burns.
Survivors include her son Walt Burns of Texarkana; and a sister, Shirley Smith of Frisco, TX. Plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be 2 P.M. Wednesday June 8, 2011 at St. James Episcopal Church with Father Doug Anderson officiating. Services are under the direction of East Funeral Home – Moores Lane.
