Dorothy Ethel Putman

Dorothy Ethel Putman, a resident of Texarkana, AR., passed away on December 24, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on February 16, 1939 Horatio, AR. Dorothy was a hard-working, honest, and resilient individual who touched the lives of many.

Dorothy retired from Smith-Blair after 30 years of dedicated service. Her commitment and work ethic were admired by all who knew her.

In her personal life, Dorothy loved working in her yard and being outdoors. Her passion for nature and the joy she found in tending to her garden were well known among her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Reeder Putman; a daughter Cindy Laverne Putman; son Scotty Putman. Her parents Nathan and Eunice McGough. Plus numerous siblings and other family members.

She is survived by one daughter and son-n-law Margaret and Ed Sewell of New Boston, TX; two grandsons Scott Sewell of Brooklyn, NY and Bryce Sewell of Ft. Worth, TX. Brother Sherman McGough of Ashdown, AR. and sister Laverne Styles of Houston, Tx. Plus numerous nephews, nieces and other family.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 29, 2025 at East Funeral Home-Moores Lane.

Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 PM Monday, December 29,2025 at the funeral home prior to service at 2:00.

Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
