

Dustin Roger “Dusty” Waldrep went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 28. Dusty was born July 11, 1979 in Texarkana. He was a lifelong member of Williams Memorial United Methodist Church. Dusty was a 1997 graduate of Pleasant Grove High School and attended Texarkana College and University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Dusty was a great story teller and had the knack of turning a regular tale into a comedic masterpiece. He was an outdoor chef and loved hosting a crawfish boil for family and friends or creating his grilled specialties on vacation in Florida.
Dusty is survived by his parents, Susan and Roger Waldrep; his sisters, Courtney Waldrep and Katie Waldrep; his paternal grandparents, Betty and Wesley F. Waldrep, Sr.; his aunts and uncles; Peggy and Robert S. “Bob” Harrison, Cheryl Nicholas, Patsy and Wesley F. Waldrep, Jr., and Sharon and Dennis Gustafson. He is also survived by his cousins Tommy Nicholas, Sean Waldrep, Sharon and Mike Ward and their children Kathryn and Michael, Janice and BJ Johnson and their children Blair and Grace; Cathy and Scott Harrison and their children Abbey, Jake and Josh; Lee Ann and Peter Acquirro and their children Harrison and Caroline, Katie Gustafson and her children Caden, Camron and Case; MaryAnna and Travis Rilat and their daughter Kinsley; Colby Gustafson, Teagan Gustafson and Devin Gustafson. His great aunt and uncle, Ann and Jim Cooper and numerous close friends and relatives.
Preceding Dusty in death are his maternal grandparents, Helen and James G. “Tommy” Clements, and his great-grandparents, Mabel Cooper, Audrey Carlisle and Wesley D. Waldrep.
A celebration of Dusty’s life will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 2:00pm at Williams Memorial United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful medical team who took care of Dusty; Dr. Myrick, and the health care staff of Davida Dialysis of Texarkana, Dr. Cline and staff at Wadley Wound Care and Dr. Stephen Potter and staff at ETMC, Tyler. Your love and care is so greatly appreciated.
