I am sending my deepest and most sincere condolences to all of EJ‘s family. I have so many wonderful memories and am filled with so much sadness at his passing. It was always great to see him and Mike and Golden Corral over the last couple years. Whether he was walking in with assistance or in a wheelchair, he always looks in great spirits and quite strong and healthy. I would always take a few minutes to visit with him and with Mike. (The last time a little over a month ago.)
E J was a great man and he will be greatly missed. I’m praying for each of you, that God will give you the peace that passes all understanding and comfort through this time.
Love to you all.

My daughter, Joy, sent me the Obit via text. I am sorry to hear about the passing of Rev Kearney.
He was pastor at Highland Park Baptist when I moved to Texarkana in 1969 with my 2 little ones.
He was a wonderful preacher. I know you Christmas will be difficult this year without him -
but know that as your grieve, you can be thankful to know he is at Home with your mother in Heaven.

I became the Pastor of Highland Park Baptist Church in Texarkana, TX. in 1979 and stayed until 1986. I heard about Brother Kearney and got to know him and loved him very much. He was a great Man of God. He loved the Lord with all his heart! He will be sharing Christmas in Heaven with his beloved, Jane, and many others that he has led to Jesus through his long lifetime. Praise God for folks like the Kearney's!
