Elva Elois Austin Chelette

Elva Austin Chelette died June 7, 2013 at a Texarkana, TX assisted living at 90 years of age. She was a wonderful homemaker. She was born January 4, 1923 in DeRidder, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Herschel Chelette. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Bertha Austin, 1 brother, 3 sisters, 1 grandchild, Mitchell Cofield and 1 great grandchild, Sharla Gray.

Her survivors include 3 daughters and 2 son-in-laws, Karen and Tommy Hollin, Genoa, AR; Kaye Chelette Stiles, DeRidder, LA; and Judy and Jack Bollinger, Livingston, TX. One brother, Eddie D. Austin, Lake Charles, LA. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was an active member of First Baptist Church in DeRidder.

Services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home, 10am Monday, June 10, 2013 in DeRidder, LA

In lieu of flowers – memorials may be made to Heritage Home Health & Hospice or Christ United Methodist Church.
