Emmett Cecil McDonald

Emmett Cecil McDonald, 93, of Texarkana, AR died Friday April 20,2012 in a local hospital. He was born on December 25, 1918 in Fulton, AR. Mr. McDonald was retired from Red River Army Depot and was a veteran in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

He was an elder at Community of Christ Church.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years Charleen McDonald of Texarkana, AR; son and daughter-in-law Danny and Patsy McDonald of Texarkana, AR; daughter and son-in-law Judy and Mark Alft of Avalon,CA.; four grandchildren Mitchell Norfleet and wife Mary of Omaha, NE;Shauna Machado and husband Johnny of Avalon, CA, Tami Douglas and husband Jeff of Texarkana, AR and Amanda White and special friend Jay Delarosa of Texarkana, AR; great grandchildren Anna Douglas, Sarah Douglas, Samuel Carroll, Treyton White all of Texarkana, AR and Dylan Norfleet and Shane Machado of Avalon, CA; one brother William McDonald of Texarkana, AR and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11am Tuesday April 24, 2012 at East Memorial Chapel-Downtown with Rev. Terry Hess and Rev. Ellis Lewis officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Monday April 23, 2012 at East Funeral Home-Downtown.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Community of Christ Church, Texarkana, AR.
