Ethel Schoen Morse, 92, of Texarkana, TX passed away September 3, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Morse was born December 15, 1926 in Texarkana, AR. She was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church; and retired from D&Z.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Knox Morse; grandson, Clint Carpenter; and two brothers, Marcus Schoen and Robert Schoen.
Survivors include her daughter, Belinda Carpenter of Texarkana, TX; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Robin Morse of Texarkana, TX, Gerard and Debra Morse of Texarkana, TX and Tommy and Jamye Morse of Denham Springs, LA; brothers and sister-in-law, Paul Schoen of Texarkana, AR, Joe and Thana Schoen of Little Rock, AR and Harry and Cheryl Schoen of Texarkana, AR; sister and brother-in-law, Roslie and John Pope of Texarkana, AR; grandchildren, Mica and his wife Kellie Morse, Quentin and his wife Loni Morse, Catie and her husband David Dodez, Shelby and her husband Trevor Giles and Evan Morse and his fiancé Cathrine Smith; great grandchildren, Claire, Libby and Knox Morse; Logan and Jack Dodez; and Eden Anne and Ezra Jane Morse; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2019 at St. Edwards Catholic Church with Rev. Paul Worm officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
Rosary will be 6:30 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2019 at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown with visitation to follow at 7 p.m.
Family would like to thank her caretakers, Leslie Kennedy, Brandy McMillan and Erin Hand who she enjoyed her time with.
She was a courageous and loving mother, an inspiring caring grandmother and great grandmother, and very strong in her faith. She brought life, love and God with her into every room.
