Ferrel Gene Heigle

Ferrel was born to Isom and Dealie Heigle on August 3, 1931 in Morrilton, Arkansas.

Ferrel met his wife, Lodena Mae Heigle at Bernie High School. They married March 25, 1951 and began their life as a family in Missouri. In 1963, they moved to Mississippi and planted roots on their family farm in Issaquena County. Ferrel spent his life farming and could be found around the coffee shop! They moved to Fouke, Arkansas in 1998 and enjoyed retirement together.

Ferrel was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather. He worshiped at Lake Washington First Baptist Church and Sylverino Baptist Church.

Ferrel joins his loving wife, Lodena Mae Heigle, son, Rodney Heigle, granddaughter, Kristal Laci Heigle, grandson, David Ferrel Heigle, and siblings in Heaven.

He is survived by his sons, Garry Heigle, Randy ( Joanne ) Heigle, Todd ( Kelley ) Heigle, daughter-in-law, Laurie Heigle, grandchildren, Josh ( Kortnee ) Heigle, Karla Watson, Russell ( Autumn ) Heigle, Kenneth ( Raquel ) Heigle, Jennifer ( Michael ) Johnson, Elizabeth ( Jeremy ) Kent, Lauren ( Chad ) Fillmore, 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Graveside service will be 2:00 pm Thursday, April 10th, 2025 at County Line Cemetery, Glen Allan, Mississippi with Rev. Jimmy McLendon officiating.
