Frances Elaine Martin

On July 19, 2022, at the age of 76, Frances Elaine Martin passed peacefully from this life surrounded by family. Elaine was born on May 28, 1946 in Atlantic, Iowa to Ruth (Leeper) Allen and Darwin Allen. She was one of 11 children.

Elaine worked hard all of her life. She raised four children on her own and earned her bachelors degree while working full time. Elaine was able to find a job that she loved: an Internal Auditor for the Department of Corrections in Florida, which she worked for 15 years from which she retired. She loved to try new recipes, crochet, gardening, to watch her soap operas, and spend time with her family. She leaves behind four children, Kelly Martin (Bonita) of Horatio AR, Sean Martin of Lockesburg AR, Brian Martin of Texarkana TX, and Sarah Martin of Texarkana TX as well as six grandchildren, Jessa Bean (Jeremy) of Idabel OK, Sean Eli Martin of Pella IA, David Parson (Lauren) of Horatio AR, Mick Martin of Lockesburg AR, Alyssa Martin of Cambridge IA, Karisa Elaine Martin of Texarkana TX, Abigail Martin (Levi) of De Queen AR, Logan Eldridge of Texarkana TX, Noah Martin of Lockesburg AR, and her great grand children, Owen, MaKenna, Cohen, Kenzie, Rhett, Sami, Penelope, Nathaniel, Josie, and Georgia as well as tons of nieces and nephews, and an abundant amount of family. She was greeted after passing by her parents, three siblings, and her grand daughter, Jerrica Martin. Elaine was the glue that held her family together and her absence is felt every day. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, September 24 2022 in Centerville IA.
