Frank W. Denny

Frank W. Denny, 89, of Texarkana, AR passed away December 23, 2012 in a local nursing home. Mr. Denny was born July 20, 1923 in Ottumwa, IA. He was a Paratrooper of the 82nd Air Borne in WWII. He retired from John Deere Ottumwa Works in Ottumwa, IA.

We will always remember the special way he wore his hat, that deep voice and those beautiful blue grey eyes that seemed to fix everything. He was the backbone of our family.

He is survived by his wife and best friend of 67 years, Velma Denny, of Texarkana, AR; one sister, Helen Rose Dawson of Missouri; sons and daughters-in-law, Frank, Jr. and Janet Denny of West Plains, MO and Pat and Penny Denny of Hedrick, IA; daughters, Teresa Denny of Texarkana, AR, Betty Satterfield of Texarkana, TX and Donna Denny of Texarkana, AR; 9 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Eylau Baptist Church with Rev. Dwight Lowrie officiating.
