Frank Llewellyn Hinds, age 86, died peacefully at his home in Texarkana, Texas on April 25, 2021 with his wife of 66-years, Carol Ann Hinds, and youngest daughter by his side. Frank had been sick for the past year and was diagnosed with stage-4 liver cancer on March 16, 2021.
Frank was born in San Francisco, California to Francis Llewellyn Hinds and Betty Lema Hinds on June 18, 1934. Frank was the oldest of 3-children. Frank went to bay area schools and graduated from Menlo Atherton High School. He attended San Jose State College. Frank was proud to have served in the Marine Corps Reserves. Frank met his wife through his sister, Barbara and they married on April 2, 1955. He worked in sales for many years and owned his own flooring company in Campbell, California. Frank was the father of 4-girls. He never got his Steven Curtis but was a wonderful father to his girls. He taught his children to be responsible and caring. In fact, no one was allowed to say, “I don’t care” in his home. Frank was a lover of family, a lover of history and a sports fan. Most of all, he became a lover of his precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Frank was preceded in death by his father, Francis Hinds, mother, Betty Hinds, daughter, Sheri Thomas, and grandson, Douglas Kohlenberger.
Frank is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Hinds of Texarkana, Texas. Also survived by his daughter Debra Kohlenberger and husband Ken, of Allen, TX, his daughter Kimberly Deutinger and her husband Mark, of Sanger, CA, his daughter Julie Montgomery and her husband Jerry, of Wylie, TX, his sister Barbara Meil of Garland, TX and brother Edward Hinds of Idaho. He is survived by Grandchildren; Keith, Jennifer, Meghan, Greg, Aron, Joshua, Emily, Eric, Drea, Rachelle, Brandon, Sarah and 19 great grandchildren.
