George Edward Bamburg

George Edward Bamburg, age 73, of Texarkana, Texas passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022. George was born September 7, 1948 in Merced, CA. George was a United States Marine in the Marine Corp. where he received a purple heart in Vietnam. Loved bear hunting in Snelling, CA. where he hunted for many years and had many bear hides as trophies. He also was an avid fisherman and would catch and cook on the same trip. Played baseball at Merced High School and Merced College. Another favorite hobby or pastime was dancing and playing the guitar.

Preceded in death by his mother Rose Bamburg; sister Nikita Bamburg; three brothers Jack, Jimmy and Mike Bamburg.

He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law Toy and Jeff Blaauw and Angela and Ryan Porter; three sons George, Clint and Clay Bamburg; six grandchildren Thomas, Julia, Dillon, Brittany, River and Raina; plus five great-grandchildren.

George's wishes are to be cremated and his family will have a memorial service in the near future in California.
