I was so sorry to hear about your mother.  I remember when you and your mom came to my house at Christmas. Gladys was always smiling and such a joy to be around.  We miss you all at Meadows. Please know that we care.

This comes from a lady that knew Gladys and your dad many years ago. They worked wtih my mom and dad at the pickle plant here in Texarkana. I stayed with them during the summer months before they had any children. I was maybe 7 or 8 years old. Not sure, just remember I was very young. They treated me like their own child. I will never forget their kindness and love. They were very dear to me. I have seen Gladys many times either in WalMart or Burger King and she always remembered me. They were two of the dearest people I have ever known. Know that you were blessed with two wonderful, thoughtful parents and I know they will be missed. I pray God will comfort you all at this time.

What sweet memories we cherish of the time Gladys spent with us at Meadows Baptist Church.  Her joyful spirit and sweet smile will always be in our hearts.  Your loss is great, but God is good and will carry you through this time.  Rest in His comfort as our precious Gladys dwells in His presence for all eternity.  Marshall and Joyce Purser

When I think of Ms Gladys, my heart smiles, she was the sweetest lady ever and gave the best hugs. I know Heaven just got a whole lot sweeter! Please know I will be praying for you all.

We loved Mrs. Gladys! She was a JOY with her contagious christianity and Love for our Lord. Heaven received another saint and we will look forward to seeing her there. We grieve with you as her presence will be missed here among us.
