Gladys L. Thomas, 83, of Texarkana, TX passed away September 24, 2014 in a local nursing home. Gladys was born February 6, 1931 in Rhame, ND. She was an avid golfer and past member of Ladies Oakgrove Golf Association and a past member of County Avenue Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A. B. Thomas.
Survivors include her sons, Buddy and Peggy Scott of New Boston TX, Tommy and Regina Thomas of Hartselle, AL, Andrew Nick and Nancy Thomas of Texarkana and Michael and Cindy Thomas of Trophy Club, TX; daughter, Brenda K. Norton of Paris, TX; sister, Betty and Stuart Tyson of Buckley, MI; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m., Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Sylverino Cemetery, under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the funeral home.
