Gwendolyn Sue Smith

Mrs. Smith was born November 17, 1939 in Minden, LA to Mary Aline and Clyde Orell Heflin, Sr., both deceased. She retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Company after 30 years of service as Office Service Supervisor.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Gene Smith of Texarkana, TX; one daughter and son-in-law, Lesa and Todd Warren of New Orleans, LA, two grandchildren, Sydney Warren of New Orleans and Trevor Warren of Houston, TX; one brother and sister-in-law, Bonnie and Clyde Heflin, Jr. of Texarkana, AR, one brother-in-law, William E. Smith of Bridge City, TX, three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Hazel and Horace Fowler of Texarkana, Lynda and Eddie Cox of Fort Worth, TX and Geraldine Shelby of Texarkana and a number of nieces, nephews and special friends.

Visitation at East Funeral Home – Moores Lane will be from 7pm. until 8pm, Friday March 29, 2019 and the funeral service will be 10:00 am Saturday, March 30, 2019 at East Memorial Chapel-Moores Lane. Graveside services and burial will be in Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sibley, LA beginning at 3:00 p.m. Mrs. Smith’s son-in-law, Todd Warren will officiate at both services.

Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church or Hospice of Texarkana.
