James Corbett Peterson

Mr. Peterson was a proud U.S. Army Veteran and member of 1st Bikers Church, Texarkana . He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Diana Peterson and a great grandson Axl Ray Cain , three sisters Juanita Trammell, Wanda McClain, Betty Allen and brother Sam Peterson.

If you knew James his passions were hunting, dirt track racing, composting, gardening and Friday night poker! His three life long friends, Larry Myers, Jerry Vales and David Williams would tell you James was cantankerous, ornery and would absolutely say what was on his mind with no filter.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law; Melanie and Jerry Cain, Rhonda and Paul Bollman and son and daughter-in-law; Justin and Tammy Peterson; and baby sister, Sharon Griffith.

Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren; Kacy Feutral, Josh Norton, Jeremy Cain, Brayden Cain, Trevor Wooten, Julie Oglesby, Katie Duncan, Joleigh Smith and Madison Wooten and 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 pm Saturday, February 1st, 2025 at 1st Bikers Church located at 8085 West 7th, Street, Texarkana, Texas with Rev. Matthew Butler officiating.

Burial will follow at Old Rondo Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, January 31st, 2025 at East Funeral Home-Moores Lane.
