Jane Stewart Hudson

Jane Stewart Hudson, nee Sarah Jane Freund, was born in Helena, Arkansas on October 18, 1921, to William and Elizabeth King Freund. The fourth of 13 siblings, family was always the most important part of her life. Mrs. Hudson passed away on August 10, 2012.

She attended Texarkana, Ark. High Scool and in 1938 married Milton Fletcher Stewart. Three daughters completed her family: Mary Jane, Sally Ann, and Vicki Jo Stewart. She was an active member of the Magnolia First Methodist Church for many years. Upon Milton's retirement the Stewarts relocated back to the place most prominent in her heart, Texarkana, Ark. There she rejoined the Texarkana, Ark. First United Methodist Church and remained an active member until her health declined and she was relocated to The Woodlands, Tx.

After Milton's death from cancer in 1982, she married James Hudson of Texarkana. James preceded her in death in 1999.

Jane is survived by her three daughters, thirteen grandchildren, 17 great grand children and 4 great-great grandchildren, three sisters and one brother.

A good friend, a great Mother, and a loving wife, she will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. Sleep well, sweet Jane.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday August 13, 2012 at East Funeral Home-Moores Lane Chapel with Rev. Bruce Bennett officiating.

Interment will follow in East Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
