John F. Pascarella

John F. Pascarella, 83 of Texarkana, TX. went home to be with his heavenly father on Saturday, January 21, 2017. John was born July 19, 1933 in Atlantic City, NJ. At the age of 8 he moved to Washington D.C. where he grew up and was inducted into the Army. After basic training he was sent to Texarkana, Texas where he met Patsy, his wife of 63 years.

He is a member of First Baptist Church-Downtown where he was a deacon for 27 years. Also chairman and currently vice chairman of the deacons. After 30 years he retired from Red River Army Depot. Enjoyed a long fulfilling retirement for many many years. Was an avid golfer and played for years with his best friend Jesse Stone. One of his most proud accomplishments was having two holes in one over the years. During retirement John and Patsy shared traveling but most of all enjoyed many many cruises.

Preceded in death by a son Dale Pascarella in 1993.

He is survived by his wife Patsy Pascarella of Texarkana, TX; two sons and daughters-in-law Dennis and Phoebe Pascarella of Texarkana, AR and Todd and Julie Pascarella of Southaven, MS; three grandchildren Jeremy and Tasha Pascarella of Texarkana, AR, Miranda Smart of Texarkana, AR and Jaylene Pascarella and Yvonne Mauroni of San Francisco, CA; 8 great grandchildren Gabriel Brown, Savannah Pascarella, Taylor Pascarella, Brooklynn Pascarella, Nicholas Smart, Lex Smart and Jewel Smart all of Texarkana, AR and Anthony Pascarella of San Francisco, CA.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church-Downtown with Rev. Dennis Gibbons officiating.

Family will received friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Monday, January 23, 2017 at East Funeral Home-Downtown.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or First Baptist Church-Downtown.
