Johnnie R. Burt

Johnnie R. Burt, 90, of Wake Village, TX passed away June 30, 2016 in a local hospital. Mr. Burt was born June 27, 1926 in Fouke, AR. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marines; a member of Cross View Baptist Church and retired from Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant. He loved hunting, fishing, baseball and he coached his sons baseball team.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Burt of Wake Village, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Dianna and Jerry Johnson; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Melanie Burt; grandsons and wives, Jacob and Haley Burt and Jordan and Katie Burt; 2 nieces and 5 nephews.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 2 , 2016 at East Memorial Chapel - Moores Lane with Rev. Bobby Fischer officiating. Burial is in Hillcrest Memorial Park under the direction of East Funeral Home - Moores Lane.

Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday July 1, 2016 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cross View Baptist Church Building Fund.
