Joseph Michael Lavigne

Joseph Michael Lavigne, age 68, of Texarkana, Texas passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. He was born on September 10, 1955 in Victoria, TX. He retired from Red River Army Depot after 38 years. He was a Catholic. Did several tours in Kuwait. Joe was very artistic and loved welding and building trailers. He was an animal lover as well.

Preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Lelia Lavigne; one brother-n-law Jimmy Ray Akin.

He is survived by three brothers and three sisters-n-law Charles Lavigne and Judy, Samuel Lavigne, Jr. and Linda and John Lavigne and Linda; three sisters and brothers-n-law Ramona Akin; Lilly Dalby and Tim Frost and Vicki Smith and John; one uncle Charles Murchison plus a special friend Jay and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Graveside funeral service will be 10:00 am Friday, August 2, 2024 at Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of East Funeral Home-Moores Lane.

Visitation will be Thursday August 1, 2024 from 5 to 7 pm at East Funeral Home-Moores Lane.
