Joseph Patrick Pondrom

Joseph Patrick “Pat” Pondrom, age 83, of Texarkana, Arkansas passed away at his home on Friday July 28th, 2023. Pat was born January 24th, 1940 in Texarkana, Arkansas. He graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas, Texas. He was a member of the Army Reserves, and retired from Solvay Chemical Company in Houston, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Pondrom, and mothers, Kathleen Pondrom, and Belle Pondrom. He is survived by his siblings, Sheila Prawdzik, Kathleen Solcher, Bill Pondrom and wife Jean, Anne Scott and husband Al, Bobby Pondrom and wife Tammie, Mary Jane Murphy and husband John, and Jim Pondrom; thirteen nieces and nephews, and a number of other relatives.

Pat was a train fanatic, a music enthusiast, and an avid lover of all animals. He had an enormous heart with a fantastic sense of humor. To know Pat was to love him. He made a deep impact on many lives. He will be remembered for all of the love and laughter he shared with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Pat will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 9:00 AM at St Edwards Catholic Church, Texarkana, Arkansas. A burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Texarkana, Arkansas under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown.
