Juanita Platz Barba

Juanita Platz Barba, 89, of Texarkana, AR passed away March 3, 2015 in a local nursing home. Mrs. Barba was born August 9, 1925 in Texarkana, AR. She was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church; Texarkana, AR Antique Car Club and member of Past and Future Doll Club of Texarkana.

Survivors include her husband, Nick Barba, Sr. of Texarkana, AR; son and daughter-in-law, Nick Barba, Jr. and Kathy of Texarkana; daughters, Susanne McAlexander of Texarkana; daughter and son-in-law, Annette and Fredrick Zachery of Texarkana; grandson, Shawn McAlexander and his wife, Renee' of Atlanta, TX, granddaughter, Kellie Oden and her husband, Cody of Little Rock, AR, grandsons, Jonathan Barba and Tommy Zachery both of Texarkana; sisters, Ernie Smith of North Little Rock, AR and Ellen Rumback of Jacksonville, FL and many special nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015 at St. Edwards Catholic Church with Rev. Paul Worm and Deacon David Fowler officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown. Rosary will be 7 p.m., Friday, March 6, 2015 at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown with visitation to follow at 7:30 p.m.
