

Mr. Werst was born July 13th, 1948 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran who served in the Vietnam war. He also retired from the pipeline industry and was a member of Hatton Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge # 548.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years Shirley Werst of the home. His 3 children and their spouses; Kenneth Glenn Werst of Vandervoort, Arkansas, Randy Lee and Keri Werst of Chandler, Texas and Ashley and Tim Caramez of Hatton, Arkansas; one stepdaughter Tamara Campbell of Texarkana, Arkansas; a brother Taylor Carter Werst of Hatton, Arkansas and a sister; Gwen Fitzgerald of North Carolina.
Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren and their spouses; Ashlee and Stephen Cockrell of Texarkana and Scottie Werst of Texarkana, Tasha Harris of Amity, Arkansas, Jared Daniels of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Brody Werst of Muze, Oklahoma, Haley and Nick Sorel of Las Vegas, Nevada, Makayla Caramez of Hatton, Arkansas, Austin Caramez of Hatton, Arkansas and Evan Carr of Tyler, Texas and 11 great grandchildren.
Mr. Werst also has many close friends that he considered family.
The family will have a memorial service on Saturday, July 8th to begin at 1:00 p.m. at Hatton Baptist Church in Hatton, Arkansas. The graveside will follow immediately at
Weatherspoon Cemetery in Vandervoort, Arkansas.
