Maedean Hoover

Maedean Hoover, age 77, of Texarkana, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025. She was born on September 8, 1947 in Texarkana,TX. She was a devoted homemaker, a kind loving mother. Loved having fun and especially with her family. She was a generous person who would help any one in need. Being outdoors, traveling and site seeing were her favorite pastime.

She is preceded her in death by her parents James and Hazel Rateliff; brother Hank Rateliff; 5 sisters: Louise, Voncille, Carolyn, Dianne and Zonnie, sister-in-law Hazel, two nieces Kathy and Angela; two nephews Gary and James; and two great nephews Dakota and Lake.

She is survived by one son Steven Bruce (Carmen); companion Bill Allen; three sisters Barbara (Glenn), Patricia and Bonnie; one brother Ray; two grandchildren Tyler (Courtney) and Stevon Bruce; three great grandchildren Lidianys, Jamieson and Roman. Plus numerous nieces nephews and other family.

Maedean wishes was to be cremated under direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown.

Family will have a private family visitation.
