Maj-Britt Holmes

Maj-Britt Holmes, 93, of Texarkana, AR passed away July 12, 2015 in Palestine, TX. Mrs. Holmes was born October 15, 1921 in Malmo, Sweden. She was a member of 1st Lutheran Church and active in Girls Scouts of America.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lilburn Eugene Holmes, Jr.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Carl White of Tennessee Colony, TX; grandchildren, Mirenda White-Harris and her husband, Sandy of Tennessee Colony, TX and Beau Eugene White and his wife, Rachel of Montalba, TX; great grandchildren, Dr. Kayleigh Emerson and her husband Colt of Montgomery, TX, Jayce Harris of Tennessee Colony, TX, Christian White of Abilene, TX and Grant White of Abilene, TX.

Memorial service will be 1pm Monday, July 20, 2015 at First Lutheran Church, Texarkana, TX with Rev. Darren Anderson officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction East Funeral Home-Downtown.

Memorials may be made to St. Michael Hospital or Girl Scouts of America.
