Mary "Mimi" Polk, 87, of Texarkana, AR died Sunday december 26, 2010 in a local nursing home. Sh e was born on August 31, 1923 in Texarkana, AR. Mrs. Polk was a homemaker and a member Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband Glen Polk.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law Glenda and Jacky Kizzar of Texarkana, AR and Barbara and Buddy Yowell of Texarkana, AR; son and daughter-in-law Kenny and Eddie Polk of Texarkana, AR; two sisters Lillian Ferguson of Mt. Ida, AR and Dolores Mayton of Texarkana, AR; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 10am Tuesday December 28, 2010 with Pastor Charles Teer and Josh Yowell officiating.Burial will be in Shiloh cemetery under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday December 27, 2010 at East Funeral Home-Downtown.
