

Mrs. Wheeler was born October 25, 1914, in California, PA. A former resident of Live Oak, CA, and Cherry Hill, AR, she was a loving mother and grandmother, homemaker and community volunteer. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and photography. She was a faithful member of St. Edwards Catholic Church.
Mrs. Wheeler is preceded in death by her husbands Joseph Arroyo in 1944 and Mack Wheeler in 1994. Survivors include two sisters, one brother; her daughter Betty Haley and her grandson Jason Haley, both of Hooks, TX; her daughter and son-in-law Linda and Royce Stafford of Caddo Mills, TX, and her grandsons Ronnie Stafford of Austin, TX, and Steve Stafford of Plano, TX; and one son and daughter-in-law John and Celeste Wheeler of Ft. Smith, AR, and her grandson Drew Wheeler of Oakland, CA, and her granddaughter Jenna Bickell of Little Rock, AR. Mrs. Wheeler had seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place at East Funeral Home, Moores Lane, in Texarkana, TX, on Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 6 to 8pm, with a vigal service at 6:30. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Texarkana, AR, at 10am Friday, May 10, 2013. Interment will follow at the Cherry Hill, AR, Cemetery at 3 p.m. under direction East Funeral Home-Moores Lane.
In lieu of flowers, the American Macular Degeneration Foundation or a charity of choice are suggestions for donations in memory of Mrs. Wheeler.
