

our devoted and loving father, Moise Marchand Jr. of
Texarkana, AR., born August 19, 1940, in St Gabriel, LA to
Beulah & Moise Marchand, Sr. He departed this life on May 25,
2026. His faith, love and loyalty guided every step of his
journey. He was a proud and faithful Catholic who lived his life
with compassion, humility and unwavering devotion to God and
to his family.
Moise loved deeply and sacrificed endlessly for his family. A
wonderful father of 10, he spent his life working hard to provide
for those he loved, always making sure his family knew they
were cared for, protected and supported. Strong, dependable,
and hardworking, he carried himself with quiet strength and
determination.
A man deeply devoted to caring for his wife of 63 years. He
cared for her with tenderness, patience and selflessness.
Always placing her needs above his own. His devotion to mom
was a true example of unconditional love and lifelong
partnership.
Moise is preceded in death by his loving wife, Catherine
Cigainero Marchand, his parents, Moise Marchand Sr and
Beulah Thacker of Texarkana, AR, his sister, Betty Quimby and
his daughters, Michelle Marchand and Mary Marchand Parks,
his grandson, Dalton Jaquess, his precious greatgranddaughter,
Lily Ann Johnson; his nieces, Mary Grace
Quimby and Kimberly Ward Gathright.
Moise Marchand is survived by his two sons and daughters-inlaw,
Michael and Vonda Marchand of Grant, AL, and Jason and
Sara Marchand of Texarkana, AR; six daughters and sons-inlaw,
Lisa and Clay Cummings of Nashville, TN, Deanna and Toy
Bishop of Ashdown, AR, Debra Lawrence of Texarkana, AR,
Sherry and Bobby Guthrie of Arden, AR, Melanie Marchand of
Texarkana, AR and Christie and Khanh Nelson Bui of
Texarkana, AR; his sister-in-law, Paula Ward of Texarkana, TX;
numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nephews
and nieces.
Rosary and visitation will be at East Funeral Home-Downtown
Texarkana, TX, on Sunday, May 31st at 5 pm.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Edwards Catholic
Church, Texarkana, AR, on Monday, June 1st at 10:00 am
followed by Graveside at Calvary Cemetery.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to St. Edwards Father
William and Deacon Casteel.
