If you knew my Uncle Ollie Ray or my Aunt Mary Jane you would know that they were both the most amazing people.  They were always kind and went out of their way to help everyone they could. Him and my father were the best of friends and there was never a duel moment.  He is truly missed by the whole family.

If you knew MY Bobo/my grandpa, then you know he gave anything to anyone if he had it. He & Nanny took in three EXTRA kids that were never their responsibility with no questions asked when nobody else wanted them. What type of person does that.. All people have issues in life, but I guarantee we turned out a thousand times better than we could have been if it weren't for them. They were truly OUR blessing. I'm not sad that they're no longer here, but only that I miss them SO much. I miss being able to call them about all the firsts when it comes to the kids. That's ALWAYS the 1st people I tell any big news to first. He always introduced us as his daughters or son & not anything else. They always said they don't care who the parents are, but that THEY are our grandparents. THEY are who taught us how to be parents to our own kids. I'm SO happy that they are finally together again & with their baby because everyone knows how much they love each other. 

Mr. Ray was the kindest and most precious man. It was a privilege to have known him. 

I was sad to hear about Ollie Ray. He was one of my favorite customers at the bank & I enjoyed waiting on him.  My prayers are with all of you. He will surely be missed.

My love runs deep for Ollie and my heart goes out to his children and grandkids. It’s hard on sibling to lose a brother, my prays  for Alice and Linda during this time of lose.  Ollie was one of a kind and will be deeply missed.! Your cuz Jene.

I have known many but few do I place in the same category of this great man. His loving heart and sincere outlook on life with anyone who had the opportunity to meet him truly understands my thoughts of him. I pray for his family for comfort during this time. I was truly blessed to have known this great man

Ollie "Ray" Davis, 78, of Texarkana, AR passed away January 22, 2021 in a local hospital. Mr. Davis was born June 12, 1942 in Mandeville, AR. He was a U. S. Army veteran; a 32nd Degree Mason; member of St. Edwards Catholic Church; Salvation Army; and a Shriner. He owned and operated Ray's Recycle for the past 31 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Davis; son Timothy Davis; great grandson, Diesel Huskey; parents, Guy Davis and Minnie Davis; sisters, Mary McCrummen, Betty Frazier and Mittie Peters; and brother, James T. Davis.
Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Raymond Davis and Butch and Kayla Davis; daughters and sons-in-law, Alicia and Howell Huskey, Jamie and Brian Meeks, Clover and Marcus Floyd, and Nikki Himes and David Elijah; sisters and brother-in-law, Alice Jewell and Linda and Jerry Cornett; and many grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, January 28, 2021 at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown with Rev. Steve Minter officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at the funeral home.
