Peggy Sue Houser

Peggy Sue Houser, 78, of Texarkana, AR passed away May 29, 2012 in a local nursing home. Mrs. Houser was born January 16, 1934 in Nashville, AR. She was a member of County Avenue Baptist Church and Texarkana Women’s Bowling Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James A. and Novella Powell; brother, James Powell; and sisters, JoAnn Arnett and Donna Frost.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Perry J. Houser of Texarkana, AR; sons and daughters-in-law, Perry L. and Janette Houser and Terry L. and Lisa Houser all of Texarkana, AR; sister, Jean Womack of Texarkana, AR; brothers, Bob Powell and Larry Powell, both of Texarkana, AR; 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m., Friday, June 1, 2012 at East Memorial Chapel – Downtown with Dr. Roger Copeland officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home – Downtown.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 31, 2012 at the funeral home.
