Rita Starnes Barron

Rita Starnes Barron, 75, of New Boston, TX passed away September 29 2014 in a local nursing home. Mrs. Barron was born November 12, 1938 in DeKalb, TX. She was a member of Old Union Baptist Church and The Gloryland Singers.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Merida L Barron; and Lonnie B. Starnes; and her son, John Dewayne Pool.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Debbie and Roy Johnson of New Boston, TX and Sharon Avirett of New Boston, TX; son and daughter-in-law, David and Kimberlie Starnes of New Boston, TX; granddaughter and husband, Tera and Jamie Henson of New Boston, TX; one sister , Janie Wise of DeKalb,Tx; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at East Memorial Chapel - Moores Lane with Rev. David Starnes and Rev. Leo Smith officiating. Burial will be in College Hill Cemetery, DeKalb, TX under the direction of East Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m, Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at East Funeral Home - Moores Lane.
