shortly after moving from Hot Springs, AR to Texarkana, TX. He
was born in Camden AR on September 1, 1923, lived through the
Great Depression, served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII
then attended college at Henderson State University and the
University of Arkansas. He later worked at National Gypsum and
retired as safety director at Reynolds Metals in Arkadelphia.
He loved floating the Ouachita and Caddo rivers with his many fishing partners who are long since
departed. He was a member of 1st Methodist Church in Hot
Springs and Clark’s hunting and fishing camps.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Louise (Pat) Patterson,
and later by Becky Theis.
He is survived by his daughter Mary Fladger, grandchildren Joe Fladger and
Elizabeth Fladger/Brian Palmer, daughter Lois Callaway/Mike
Callaway, grandchildren Shannon Calloway and Becky Calloway
and son Ross Ramsauer.
A graveside memorial will be held at the Shiloh Baptist Church cemetery in Arkadelphia on Friday, October
21 at 9:00 a.m.
