Grandfather always loved to tell us stories and play games to challenge our minds.
I love knowing he taught all the kids at a young age to play chess!

A big piece of our hearts and lives went home to be with the Lord yesterday. Grandfather was one of a kind and a truly amazing man. He gave strength and inspiration to myself and my girls more than words could ever say. Anyone that came across grandfather would always say how pleasant he was and love to hear his stories. Our family is going to miss him more than anything. But one thing grandfather taught us was to be strong and move on!! As GRANDFATHER WOULD SAY "ONWARD!!" So we will continue on and make him proud in the things we do from this moment forward! We will keep his memory going and keep grandmother super busy and protect her and spoil just as he would! Grandfather said celebrate him...we will be sad but we will celebrate our wonderful memories!
I love you forever grandfather. See you again, love Rachel and all the grimmies
And the entire family!!

My Grandfather will be missed. I will cherish the memories of making wood dinosaurs, long talks on my ride home from school, family holidays, homemade holiday cards, his jokes, and stories. I will miss the chuckle when he called me β€œFlea”. I will miss the man and the role model. Rest Easy.
