On July 24th, 2024, Rosemary Blankenship Warren passed away in Springfield, Louisiana. She had fought a courageous battle against leukemia since 2022 until she departed, surrounded by her family. Rosemary was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on November 4, 1942 to two school teachers. She was married to Joe Warren in September of 1963 until his passing in 2023. A retired elementary school teacher, she taught students in Cass County for over 20 years.
Rosemary was a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, and friend. She was a faithful Christian and a member of Williams Memorial United Methodist Church. A confident and willful woman, her loved ones will remember her for her sharp wit, her love for her friends and family, and her devotion to God.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joe Wayne Warren, her mother Iris Blankenship, and her father Earl Blankenship. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law - Eric and Melissa Warren of Texarkana, Texas and Todd and Lesa Warren of Springfield, Louisiana, her six grandchildren - Trevor Warren of Raleigh, North Carolina; Sydney Warren of Springfield, Louisiana; Carter Brooks of Texarkana, Texas; Ally Warren of Russellville, Arkansas; Joseph Warren of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and Samuel Warren of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 29 from 6-8 pm at East Funeral Home, 2807 Moores Lane in Texarkana, Texas. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, July 30 at 2 pm at Williams Memorial United Methodist Church, 4000 Moores Lane.
